At 11:30am on March 22nd, Midea Industrial City project successfully realized full capacity grid connection, which is another milestone achieved by Hiconics after successfully realized grid connection and power generation in Beijing Hiconics headquarter. In the plight of the epidemic, Hiconics has successfully set up a specialized technical team, actively promoted the debugging scheme, broke through the technical bottleneck, and finally realized the current optical storage grid connection power generation.


The project uses the office building C of Midea Industrial City with the installed capacity of sunshine greenhouse with concrete roof to be about 18kWp, the installed capacity of concrete roof in zone B is about 282kWp, and the total installed capacity of photo-voltaic power generation system is about 300kWp. At the same time, a set of 50kW/100kWh energy storage container will be built to realize peak-valley arbitrage and resource optimal allocation through the energy storage system, and park-level micro-grid will be realized in combination with the photovoltaic system.


On the basis of optical storage intelligent micro-grid, the project is equipped with building energy saving technologies including: - Heat recovery multi-connection - Efficient intelligent multi-connection - New heat recovery fan - Cold storage module - Energy recovery elevator and so on. Finally, through digital integration technology, IOC intelligent operation and carbon management can be realized. Among these, the light-storage flexible system contributes 70% to the building's overall zerocarbon, making a great contribution to the building's zero-carbon realization.


In order to adapt to a higher proportion of clean energy access, in the future, the power grid will be transformed from single-terminal power system to multi-terminal power system, forming a multi-grid form of large grid, micro-grid and distributed grid with multivariate complementarity, and developing the integrated overall utilization of "power supply, power grid, load and energy storage". Microgrids is a self-sufficient energy system that can disconnect from the traditional grid to operate autonomously. They can still operate while the main grid is down.

  • Support a flexible and efficient electric grid by enabling the integration of growing deployments of distributed energy resources especially renewable like solar.

  • Reduce energy losses in transmission and distribution with the use of local sources of energy, further increasing efficiency of the electric delivery system
